(1) Preparation before test
Equipment inspection: Confirm that there are no cracks or looseness in the host machine, clamps, and sensors, that the cables are firmly connected, and that the transmission parts are fully lubricated.
Environmental confirmation: Keep the test area clean and tidy, control the temperature at 20±5℃, humidity ≤75%RH, and avoid electromagnetic interference.
Fixture selection: Select special fixtures based on material properties (metal/plastic/rubber) and test type (tension/compression/bending). Brittle materials need to use soft liners to prevent pre-cracking, and high-temperature specimens must be cooled to room temperature before clamping.
(2) Test execution
Sample clamping: Fix the sample in the center on the upper and lower fixtures to ensure that the axial coaxiality error is <0.5mm. The clamping force of metal samples needs to reach 70%-80% of the yield strength, and the clamping force of plastic samples should be controlled within 50%.
Parameter settings: Enter the test speed (0.001-500mm/min), force range (0.2%-100%FS) and data recording frequency through the control panel or software interface. The standard speed for tensile testing is usually 10-50mm/min, and the optional servo system for high-precision testing can achieve 0.01mm/min level speed adjustment.
Process monitoring: Observe the force value curve and equipment operating status throughout the entire process after startup. Stop immediately when abnormal vibration or data mutation occurs. The drop rate of force value at the moment of fracture of metal specimens should be <5%/ms, and that of plastic specimens is allowed to reach 10%/ms.
(3) Post-test processing
Data saving: Automatically generate test reports including tensile strength, elongation at break and other parameters, supporting graphical display and multi-curve comparison.
Equipment maintenance: Clean fixture residues, check sensor accuracy, and add lithium-based grease to the screw guide rails every month. When out of service for a long time, the power must be cut off and covered with a dust cover.
